Position: Client Engagement Manager
We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant/Client Engagement Manager.
The successful individual will possess a proven track record of at least eight years in sales and likely a further four years in sales management in a B2B sales organization. They must have proven ability in the following areas:
- Selling sophisticated and complex solutions
- Client management from the levels of front line sales person to the executive
- Presentation skills
- Facilitation skills
- Critical and strategic thinking
- Leadership and management
The individual we are seeking is as happy presenting to the board of a multi-billion, multi-national organization as they are working in their office on a large and complex proposal, or facilitating a workshop with a large group of sales professionals. They will already have shown that they are not just a successful sales professional but also an individual of extraordinary skills by perhaps having lead a special project, contributed to an organization’s strategy and approaches, or taking a leadership position in the introduction of new methods into a sales organization. They must be passionate about sales enablement and helping companies to develop new selling approaches.
This is a senior position within a boutique consulting company that has developed an enviable track record with clients in the high technology, healthcare, and education sectors. The successful candidate will be fully trained in the Market-Partners approaches and will be expected to then lead strategic consulting engagements. They will need to have the flexibility to travel, and at times internationally, although such travel should comprise no more than about 30% of the time. They will become a spokesperson for the company and should quickly be seen as a thought-leader in the overall field of bringing true sales strategy and process to selling organizations.
The compensation will include a salary commensurate with experience, and a six-monthly bonus that reflects overall contribution to the company. It is hoped that within a year this individual could then become a Practice Manager and assume P&L responsibility for a division of the company whereupon the bonus would become even more directly tied to bottom line results. This position may be based anywhere in the US, although there would be a preference for someone located close to the company’s principals in Northern California.
If you are ready to step out of the corporate world, leverage your experience, and join a small and highly entrepreneurial company where you would be expected to make a difference and enjoy the rewards of doing so, this could be the ideal position for you.
